Here's What 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G And 5G Actually Mean! 1. 1 G 1G, the first generation of the phone was developed around the 1990s. The connection of these phones was purely analog and the phones looked like the ones seen in the above picture. Only voice calling was possible on these phones! 2. 2G 2G, actually made the texting possible. It became a real thing to actually send texts over which was not possible before, so it was really a great step forward in the technological world! 3. 3G 3G, actually made video calling possible. However, there were some disturbances and the picture quality were also not at par. It took a while to download the data on 3G, but it is much better than the 2G technology! 4. 4G 4G, revolutionized the gaming world! The speed is too much better than the 3G phones and video calling is also possible in an uninterrupted manner! 5. 5G Is it very different to 4G? Yes, it's a brand-new radio technology, but you might not notice vastly higher speeds at first because 5G is likely to be used by network operators initially as a way to boost capacity on existing 4G (LTE - Long-Term Evolution) networks, to ensure a more consistent service for customers. The speed you get will depend on which spectrum band the operator runs the 5G technology on and how much your carrier has invested in new masts and transmitters. The fastest current 4G mobile networks offer about 45Mbps (megabits per second) on average, although the industry is still hopeful of achieving 1Gbps (gigabit per second = 1,000Mbps). Chipmaker Qualcomm reckons 5G could achieve browsing and download speeds about 10 to 20 times faster in real-world (as opposed to laboratory) conditions. 5G will provide the speed, low latency and connectivity to enable a new generation of applications, services and business opportunities that have not been seen before. There are three major categories of use case for 5G: Massive machine to machine communications – also called the Internet of Things (IoT) that involves connecting billions of devices without human intervention at a scale not seen before. This has the potential to revolutionise modern industrial processes and applications including agriculture, manufacturing and business communications. Ultra-reliable low latency communications – mission critical including real-time control of devices, industrial robotics, vehicle to vehicle communications and safety systems, autonomous driving and safer transport networks. Low latency communications also opens up a new world where remote medical care, procedures, and treatment are all possible Enhanced mobile broadband – providing significantly faster data speeds and greater capacity keeping the world connected. New applications will include fixed wireless internet access for homes, outdoor broadcast applications without the need for broadcast vans, and greater connectivity for people on the move. For communities, 5G will enable the connection of billions of devices for our smart cities, smart schools and smart homes, smart and safer vehicles, enhance health care and education, and provide a safer and more efficient place to live. For businesses and industry, 5G and IoT will provide a wealth of data allowing them to gain insights into their operations like never before. Businesses will operate and make key decisions driven by data, innovate in agriculture, smart farms and manufacturing, paving the way for cost savings, better customer experience and long term growth. New and Emerging technologies such as virtual and augmented reality will be accessible by everyone. Virtual reality provides connected experiences that were not possible before. With 5G and VR you will be able to travel to your favourite city, watch a live football match with the feeling of being at the ground, or even be able to inspect real estate and walk through a new home all from the comfort of your couch. 5G will keep us connected in tomorrow’s smart cities, smart homes and smart schools, and enable opportunities that we haven’t even thought of yet. 5G Enhanced Mobile Broadband and IoT will revolutionise agriculture and farming.

Alone Sayings And Quotes It is better to be alone than in bad company. George Washington People who cannot bear to be alone are generally the worst company. Albert Guino I don't want to be alone; I want to be left alone. Audrey Hepburn The trouble is not really in being alone, it's being lonely. One can be lonely in the midst of a crowd, don't you think? Christine Feehan The best part about being alone is that you really don't have to answer to anybody. You do what you want. Justin Timberlake Sometimes life is too hard to be alone, and sometimes life is too good to be alone. Elizabeth Gilbert Pray that your loneliness may spur you into finding something to live for, great enough to die for. Dag Hammarskjold We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we're not alone. Orson Welles Solitude is the profoundest fact of the human condition. Man is the only being who knows he is alone. Octavio Paz When we truly realize that we are all alone is when we need others the most. Ronald Anthony Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. Helen Keller Look at the sky. We are not alone. The whole universe is friendly to us and conspires only to give the best to those who dream and work. Abdul Kalam Being isolated at times doesn't always mean that you want to distance yourself from others; it simply means that you need some space to see things clearly. Wazim Shaw Sometimes you just have to stand alone to make sure you still can. Unknown The person who tries to live alone will not succeed as a human being. His heart withers if it does not answer another heart. His mind shrinks away if he hears only the echoes of his own thoughts and finds no other inspiration. Pearl S. Buck People think being alone makes you lonely, but I don't think that's true. Being surrounded by the wrong people is the loneliest thing in the world. Kim Culbertson Language... has created the word 'loneliness' to express the pain of being alone. And it has created the word 'solitude' to express the glory of being alone. Paul Tillich What a lovely surprise to finally discover how unlonely being alone can be. Ellen Burstyn I think it's good for a person to spend time alone. It gives them an opportunity to discover who they are and to figure out why they are always alone. Amy Sedaris And if you couldn't be loved, the next best thing was to be let alone. L.M. Montgomery The most terrible poverty is loneliness, and the feeling of being unloved. Mother Teresa

Ice Fishing Competition Once upon a time, long, long ago there was a season when neither the Browns nor the Steelers made the post season playoffs. It seemed so unusual that the management of both teams got together and decided that there should be some sort of competition between the two teams, because of their great rivalry. They decided on a week-long ice fishing competition. The team that catches the most fish at the end of the week wins. So, on a cold freezing day on Lake Erie they began their contest. The first day after 8 hours of fishing the Browns had caught 0 fish and the Steelers had 100. At the end of the 2nd day the Browns had caught 0 fish and the Steelers 200. That evening the Browns coach got his team together and said, "I suspect some kind of cheating is taking place." So, the next morning he dressed one of his players in black and yellow and sent him over to the Steelers camp to act as a spy. At the end of the day he came back to report to the coach. The coach asked, "Well, how about it, are they cheating?" "They sure are!" the player reported: "They're cutting holes in the ice."

Maybe sounds too elementary, but did you check the size of those rar files? Recently I had an issue trying to open a rar file. Then just looked a its size and it was 10 kb. It was supposed to be at least 2 - 3 Mb, so without any doubt, it was just a corrupt piece of a file. On the other hand, hopefully it's not your case but there are so so called fake uploads of compressed files which actually don't contain anything. Of course there is no way to open these files. Some pirate uploaders do this to increase their upload count in sites where they get rewards for up and downloads.

Windows Installer Directory When applications are installed and updated on the Windows Operating System a hidden directory "c:\Windows\Installer" is used to store the installer (.msi) files and the patch (.msp) files. Generally these files are important as during updating, patching or uninstalling software it will use the .msi/.msp files. If you blanketly delete all the files in this folder, you will find yourself needing to rebuild windows. Over time as your computer is patched and patched again, these installer files become outdated and orphaned. They are no longer required, but they can take up many gigabytes of data, PatchCleaner PatchCleaner identifies these redundant/orphaned files and allows you to either: (Recommended) Move them to another location, prefaibly to another drive. If you want to play it safe, just move them to another location, and you can always copy them back. If you are SURE about what you are doing, you can delete them. How it works HomeDev has had many queries about how PatchCleaner works and if it can be trusted to do the right thing. Its pretty simple. The windows operating system holds a list of current installers and patches, that can be accessed via WMI calls, (Windows Management Instrumentation ). PatchCleaner obtains this list of the known msi/msp files and compares that against all the msi/msp files that are found in the "c:\Windows\Installer" directory. Anything that is in the folder but not on the windows provided list is considered an orphaned file and is tagged to be moved or deleted. HomeDev cannot warrant that PatchCleaner will not find a false positive and delete a required patch which is why we have added the filter feature to filter and recommend using the move function, that way you can always copy the patches back if required. Please see the Known Issues List at the bottom of the page CLI - Command Line Interface As of verison 1.3, patch cleaner implements a CLI, (Command Line Interface). The application can now be run from the command line with the following switches: /d - This will execute with the delete action. /m - This will execute the move action with the default location as stored in your local app configuration. /m [FilePath] - This will execute the move action, where [FilePath] is the location you wish to move the files to. The process will write the output to the console window and also logs the messages to the windows event log. Malware After 200,000+ downloads, there is some feedback that a few users are having problems where PatchCleaner is being detected as Malware. The author reassures that there is no Malware contained within PatchCleaner. To stop PatchCleaner from being detected as malware he would require purchase of an SSL certificate and digitally signing the software but given this is 100% free software, it cannot justify the expense in doing this, so he does apologise for any extra clicks you may have to do to install PatchCleaner. The application has a 100% clean Softpedia rating. You can find PatchCleaner at http://www.homedev.com.au/free/patchcleaner Known Issues Adobe Reader patcches are detected incorrectly as orphaned files. As of verson 1.4, PatchCleaner now has an exclusion filter that allows you to filter out the Adobe Acrobat patch files so they can be excluded from the set of orphaned files. The exclusion filters are configurable Requirements Windows 7 / 8 or 10, x64 or x86 (not compatible with windows XP) .Net framework 4.5.2 Also, runs on Windows Server, Confirmed on Server 2008 R2 x64 and Server 2012 R2 64

Some complementary comments: 1. It's somewhat before the 60s but it's one of the most important milestones in computing: In late 1953, John W. Backus submitted a proposal to his superiors at IBM to develop a more practical alternative to assembly language for programming their IBM 704 mainframe computer. Backus' historic FORTRAN team consisted of programmers Richard Goldberg, Sheldon F. Best, Harlan Herrick, Peter Sheridan, Roy Nutt, Robert Nelson, Irving Ziller, Lois Haibt, and David Sayre. Its concepts included easier entry of equations into a computer, an idea developed by J. Halcombe Laning and demonstrated in the Laning and Zierler system of a draft specification for The IBM Mathematical Formula Translating System was completed by November 1954. The first manual for FORTRAN appeared in October 1956, with the first FORTRAN compiler delivered in April 1957. This was the first optimizing compiler, because customers were reluctant to use a high-level programming language unless its compiler could generate code with performance comparable to that of hand-coded assembly language. 2. Another milestone, not mentioned, is Microsoft BASIC, a BASIC interpreter with floating-point capacity, for the MOS Technology 650 developed by Microsoft in 1976. At the time there was no production computer that used it. Upon learning that Apple had a 6502 machine, Microsoft asked if the company were interested in licensing BASIC, but Steve Jobs replied that Apple already had one: integer BASIC, developed by Steve Wozniak. Applesoft was implemented for Apple II by Microsoft later, when APPLE realized that integer Basic caused problems for users attempting to write business applications with it. MS-BASIC was installed for the IBM-PC as part of MS-DOS. 3. While Windows 3.0 was released in 1990, the real Windows Revolution started with Windows 3.1, released in April 1992! 4. By the way, you can read a detailed at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP3 the description of the development of the MP3 audio codec. While it's not the only audio format for music, it had a decisive influence on the record industry together with the CD-R, released in 1988 by Philips and Sony 5. Finally, probably the most important social media currently is WhatApp. First versions were released for the iPhone in 2009. I couldn't find current statistics of number of users; last numbers are from Q4 2017 stats, WhatsApp was able to boast 1.5 Billion monthly users.
