Microsoft Solitaire turns 30 years old today and still has 35 million monthly players Microsoft is attempting to set a new Solitaire record today Microsoft’s Solitaire game is turning 30 years old today. Microsoft is celebrating the occasion with a world record attempt of the most games of Microsoft Solitaire completed in one day. 35 million people still play Solitaire monthly, according to Microsoft, with more than 100 million hands played daily around the world. Microsoft's iconic Solitaire computer game turns 30 years old today. The iconic card game was first digitised as part of Windows 3.0, which was released on May 22, 1990 Microsoft's iconic Solitaire computer game turns 30 years old today. The iconic card game was first digitised as part of Windows 3.0, which was released on May 22, 1990 Microsoft Solitaire was originally included as part of Windows 3.0 back in 1990, designed specifically to teach users how to use a mouse. Grabbing virtual cards and dropping them in place taught the basics of drag-and-drop in Windows, which we still use today in many parts of the operating system. Microsoft Solitaire, originally known as Windows Solitaire, is one of the most played games in the world as it shipped in every version of Windows for more than two decades. That means it has shipped on more than a billion PCs, and it only stopped being a dedicated part of Windows with the release of Windows 8 in 2012. Microsoft intern Wes Cherry initially programmed the game, and pixel art and Mac GUI pioneer Susan Kare designed the original card deck. Cherry initially programmed a “boss mode” into Windows Solitaire, with a fake spreadsheet designed to fool bosses and co-workers. Microsoft made Cherry remove the boss mode from the game before its release. If it had remained, it could have saved one man from being fired by former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg. Solitaire is still actively played across the world by millions today, thanks to its broad appeal. It was even inducted into the World Video Game Hall of Fame last year. Microsoft has localized the game into 65 languages, and it’s played in more than 200 markets. Microsoft Solitaire only got its first major update back in 2012, coinciding with its removal from Windows 8 into a standalone app. The new app included five new game modes, daily challenges, competitive events, Xbox Live integration, and even the ability to choose a difficulty. This standalone app also led to Solitaire returning as part of Windows 10 back in 2015. It’s also now available across every major OS platform. If you want to help Microsoft reach its record attempt, Microsoft Solitaire is now available across Windows, iOS, Android, and even on the web.

From The London Times: A Well-Planned Retirement Outside England’s Bristol Zoo there is a parking lot for 150 cars and 8 buses. For 25 years, its parking fees were managed by a very pleasant attendant.... The fees for cars ($1.40), for buses (about $7). Then, one day, after 25 solid years of never missing a day of work, he just didn't show up; so the zoo management called the city council and asked it to send them another parking agent. The council did some research and replied that the parking lot was the zoo's own responsibility. The zoo advised the council that the attendant was a city employee. The city council responded that the lot attendant had never been on the city payroll. Meanwhile, sitting in his villa somewhere on the coast of Spain, or France, or Italy; is a man who'd apparently had a ticket booth installed completely on his own and then had simply begun to show up every day, commencing to collect and keep the parking fees, estimated at about $560 per day -- for 25 years. Assuming 7 days a week, this amounts to just over $7 million dollars... and no one even knows his name.

Understand ,,, just be sure to use third-party AV product of some kind; otherwise, you are seriously risking getting the PC infected once it gets out onto the Internet. Experiments with this in the past has shown that takes only a few MINUTES to happen!

Exercise For Older Folk The Doctor told me I should start an exercise program. Not wanting to harm this old body, I've devised the following: Monday Beat around the bush. Jump to conclusions. Climb the walls. Wade through the morning paper. Tuesday Drag my heels. Push my luck. Make mountains out of mole hills. Hit the nail on the head. Wednesday Bend over backwards. Jump on the Band Wagon. Run around in circles. Thursday Advise the President on how to run the country. Toot my own horn. Pull out all the stops. Add fuel to the fire. Friday Open a can of worms. Put my foot in my mouth. Start the ball rolling. Go over the edge. Saturday Pick up the pieces. Sunday Kneel in prayer. Bow my head in thanksgiving. Uplift my hands in praise. Hug someone and encourage them. WOW, What a Workout!

Missing God A group of young boys were always getting into trouble on the estate so the local vicar decided to intervene and speak to each of them about their behaviour. When it was Johnny’s turn to go in, he sat down nervously wondering what was going to happen. As with the other boys, the vicar decided to find out how much the boy knew about God and whether he understood the difference between right and wrong. The vicar began with the question, “Where is God?” Johnny stared at him in amazement but did not answer. Again, the question was asked, this time more forcibly. “I said, where is God,” he bellowed. Frightened out of his skin, Johnny raced from the room, ran all the way home, and hid in the wardrobe. His older brother followed him upstairs and shouted through the door. “What’s happened?” “Oh Tom, we really are in trouble this time. God has gone missing and they think we did it.”

Lovemaking Tips For Seniors Wear your glasses to make sure your partner is actually in the bed. Set timer for 3 minutes, in case you doze off in the middle. Set the mood with lighting... (Turn them ALL OFF!) Make sure you put 911 on your speed dial before you begin. Write partner’s name on your hand in case you can’t remember.. Use extra polygrip so your teeth don’t end up under the bed. Have Tylenol ready in case you actually complete the act… Make all the noise you want…. the neighbours are deaf, too. If it works, call everyone you know with the good news!! Don’t even think about trying it twice.

STEP 1: Uninstall the malicious programs from Windows. Find the malicious program and uninstall it. Look out for any suspicious program – anything you don’t remember downloading or that doesn’t sound like a genuine program. The “Programs and Features” screen will be displayed with a list of all the programs installed on your PC. Scroll through the list until you find the malicious program, then click to highlight it, then click the “Uninstall” button that appears on the top toolbar. STEP 2: Use Malwarebytes Free to remove “You Flash Player might be out of date” adware. Malwarebytes Free is one of the most popular and most used anti-malware software for Windows, and for good reasons. It is able to destroy many types of malware that other software tends to miss. Download Malwarebytes Free: https://www.malwarebytes.com/premium/ Click Free Download. You will be redirected to another page, and the download should begin automatically. Click "Run" if you see a dialogue box at the bottom of your browser window asking if you want to save or run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Otherwise, browse to your Downloads folder and double-click the installer, and install. Click "Scan Now"in the screen that appears when you run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware the first time. Before the scan begins, the application will check for updates to the malware database. Review the results once Malwarebytes Anti-Malware has finished the scan. If you think an item should not be quarantined, uncheck it. Otherwise, click "Quarantine Selected." Click on the "Quarantine" tab to view quarantined items. Click individual items in Quarantine to delete them. Restart your computer to complete the malware-removal process. STEP 3: Reset the browser settings to remove “You Flash Player might be out of date” pop-ups How to reset Microsoft Edge To fully reset Microsoft Edge, you can do two things: reset your settings and clear your data. If you'd like to keep some data, you can only do one of these. First, you'll need to reset your settings. Open Microsoft Edge on your Mac or PC and click the three dots in the top-right corner. In the dropdown menu that opens, click "Settings." In the left sidebar, click the "Reset Settings" tab. On the page that opens, click "Restore settings to their default values." It should be the only option on the page. A pop-up will appear, explaining which data will be deleted when you reset. To finish the process, click "Reset." you can also clear your history and cache. Open Microsoft Edge on your Mac and PC. Once again, click the three dots in the top-right corner and select "Settings." In "Settings," click on the "Privacy and Services" tab. On the page that opens, find the "Clear browsing data" section and click "Choose What to Clear." A pop-up filled with checkboxes will appear. The default boxes checked are "Browsing history," "Download history," "Cookies and saved website data," and "Cached data and files." You can also clear your passwords, autofill form data, and more. To fully reset your browser, check off all these boxes. Click "Clear Now" to erase all the data you selected. Your computer should now be free of the “You Flash Player might be out of date” malicious program. STEP 4: If you are still having problems with your computer after completing these instructions, then please: Scan your computer for malware for free with the ESET Online Scanner. The online virus scanner checks for any type of virus and helps you remove it. https://www.eset.com/int/home/online-scanner/ If you do not have an antivirus program on your computer, you may wish to consider purchasing an antivirus program to protect against these types of threats in the future. Attack Dog A man wanted an attack dog to protect his business, so he visited a kennel that specialized in attack dogs. The man explained to the kennel owner that he wanted the biggest, meanest, most vicious dog in the kennel, and the owner offered to take the man on a tour of the premises. After they had been walking for a few minutes, they came upon a large dog. He was snarling loudly and biting and clawing at the cage. "He looks like he'd be a pretty good attack dog," said the buyer. "Well, he's not bad," replied the owner, "but I have something better in mind for you." They continued walking around the premises, and after a while they found an even larger, meaner dog than the first. He snarled at the two men and tried to bite them through the wire on his cage. "Ah," said the buyer. "This must be the dog you were referring to earlier." "Well, no," said the owner. "I have something better in mind for you." The men continued their tour. Eventually, they came upon a large dog that was lying quietly on his side, licking his butt. He did not seem to notice as the men approached. "This is the dog I had in mind for you," said the owner. The buyer was flabbergasted. "You're joking!" he exclaimed. "This dog seems quite tame. He doesn't act at all like an attack dog at all. Hell, he's just lying there, licking his butt!" "I know, I know," said the owner: "But you see, he just ate a lawyer, and he's trying to get the taste out of his mouth."
