How To Use Android Mobile Phone As USB Internet Modem

 

 

If you have got an android phone, using internet on it and want to use this internet connection to your desktop PC or laptop through USB data cable! then no problem.  You will be able to do it easily by reading this post.

 

It is very easy to use mobile as internet modem by Nokia, Samsung or others who have their own pc suits/desktop application to connect phones with PC. But what about the rest like android or chain mobiles.

For china mobiles you can use Bluetooth Dial-Up method. And for android phones I m describing the process..

 

 

What will be need in this process?

1. An Android device

2. A Suitable Data Cable

3. Activated Internet Connection on Your Phone

4. And Logically a Computer.

If you have done with those pre conditions, see the steps.

 

Step 1: Turn on the USB Debugging Mode from Home/App drawer> Settings> Applications> Development>  USB Debugging.

 

 

 

Step 2: Enable your mobile data connection from Home/App drawer>Settings>SIM Management>Data Connection>Select SIM.

Note:  if you have dual sim phone, then select data connection activated sim first.

Step 3: Connect you mobile with your computer.

Step 4: Turn on USB Tethering from Home/App drawer>Settings>Wireless & Networks>Tethering & portable hotspot>USB tethering.

 

You are done. Within about 30 sec you should be able to use internet on your computer.

Or you can root it and use Wifi Tenther.. It works for me.. But it nice have USB can charge the battery. But WIFI is lot faster than USB.
