Anti-Virus Program Issues

Recommended Posts

Hello All

Recently, I was trying to download the new 2016 versions of the different anti-virus programs on this site, but it seems to be doing more harm than good. If I download on I get a system error message/download was blocked OR the site I'm downing from says My computer has been infected. Why is it the one thing I'm trying to download for protection is giving me issues right out the gate....bit defender and avg 2016 posts from oct 22nd.....

It could be that the software used to activate the AV software is causing the problem. Any keygen etc is recognised as malware of one sort or another. As this is AV stuff then the one you presently have is specifically looking out for ways to run the full software incorrectly and will highlight those issues.

If you can give links to the specific ones you've tried I will try and see what the problem actually is.

I am running this and have had no problems. Download it from AVG site as a trial. I will pm you some serial numbers. Sounds like you already have a trojan downloader or other virus. Once installed update and do a scan in safe mode.

I'm using Chromium and a recent update changed the security settings on me -- such that, after that, I could not download ANYTHING from any filesharing site.  I found that in Advanced Settings --> Privacy --> Protect ... from dangerous sites. I unchecked that and could download again.

Suggest you check the security settings of your browser, as well.
