Foundations of Programming: Fundamentals provides the core knowledge to begin programming in any language. Simon Allardice uses JavaScript to explore the core syntax of a programming language, and shows how to write and execute your first application and understand what’s going on under the hood. The course covers creating small programs to explore conditions, loops, variables, and expressions; working with different kinds of data and seeing how they affect memory; writing modular code; and how to debug, all using different approaches to constructing software applications.

Finally, the course compares how code is written in several different languages, the libraries and frameworks that have grown around them, and the reasons to choose each one.

Topics include:

Writing source code

Understanding compiled and interpreted languages

Requesting input

Working with numbers, characters, strings, and operators

Writing conditional code

Making the code modular

Writing loops

Finding patterns in strings

Working with arrays and collections

Adopting a programming style

Reading and writing to various locations

Debugging

Managing memory usage

Learning about other languages

Thats cause the links R down I have been waiting 4 some1 2 report it 4 deletion.

But I think its a shame it is a great course. I found that I got a far more out of it doing the work & taking notes through out. Additionally I found the most value in the last 3 or 4 chapters, very insightful.

I will produce links 4 U. Even though I said I wouldnt re-upload it.

I waz hoping that some1 else would set up a mirror 4 this, but I guess that people think as long as its there 4 me screw the next guy.

Well the next guy is U.

Give me sometime I have to pack-it & upload it.

Just wanted 2 add that I used dreamWeaver for this course. Its not necessary, but I found it more fun than just a text editor. Additionally I used VLC 4 the video. It gave me the most ease of flexibility & seamless playback.
