Leaked images appearing to show the Galaxy Note 9 has revealed further details of Samsung's next premium handset.

The latest images come courtesy of notorious leaker Evan Blass, who shared a photo on Twitter showing the front and rear of the device, and a Chinese Twitter user who posted a picture of what seemed to be a switched-on Note 9.

It appears to confirm that Samsung is sticking with a very similar design to that of the Galaxy Note 8, which featured an S Pen stylus.

It is less than one month before Samsung is expected to announce the Note 9, and rumours about what to expect have been ramping up as the unveiling date approaches.

The Galaxy Note 9 is expected to feature an upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB or RAM and a minimum of 64GB of storage, while the camera is also likely to be upgraded.

The phone doesn’t look much different than last year’s model, apart from that fingerprint sensor and new camera housing.

A FCC filing suggests that one of the big selling points will be the S Pen because it’ll be Bluetooth-enabled.

We’re not sure what that might allow the pen to do, but some people have suggested it could be used for music playback or as a tracker.

The battery capacity should receive a boost and the price is likely to be around the same as the Galaxy Note 8 at its launch – somewhere in the region of $1,000 (£762)

Samsung is planning to unveil the phone on August 9th, so we’ll learn more then.
