[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\runas\command]
@="cmd.exe /c takeown /f \"%1\" && icacls \"%1\" /grant administrators:F"
"IsolatedCommand"="cmd.exe /c takeown /f \"%1\" && icacls \"%1\" /grant administrators:F"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\runas]
@="Take Ownership"
"NoWorkingDirectory"=""

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\runas\command]
@="cmd.exe /c takeown /f \"%1\" /r /d y && icacls \"%1\" /grant administrators:F /t"

  1. Open Notepad.exe
  2. Copy the registry content instructions above into the new Notepad.exe file
  3. Click on File
  4. Click on Save As
  5. Name the file 'Install Take Ownership.reg'
  6. Right click on the newly created registry file and click Merge
  7. Then click Yes and Okay
  8. Now simply right click on any file, folder or drive and choose to 'Take Ownership'

 

 

How To Edit the Host File >>>

  1. Location of the Host file using Windows 10 >>>
  2. C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
  3. Right click on the Host File 
  4. Choose Take Ownership
  5. Now go to the bottom left hand corner of the Windows Desktop 
  6. Click on the Start box
  7. Locate and Open Notepad.exe
  8. In Notepad.exe go to the upper left hand corner and choose File
  9. Click Open (NOT NEW)
  10. Navigate to the Host file location below >>>
  11. C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
  12. Left click on the now found Host file
  13. Review the Image below on how & where to now add your new addresses to be blocked
  14. Click on File
  15. Click on Save
  16. You have now successfully edited/modified your Host File correctly. Now from then on, follow these instructions whenever you need to edit the Host File.

  • Download and install update list (.txt)
