  1. I just upgraded to bitdefender 2017 and now can't get past it blocking any patch or keygen. I have added the folder to the exception list, but i still will not allow me to patch a file. I have tried to turn off everything I can find ,but it still is able to block my update. Anyone know how to get past this problem? Thanks for any help.

  2. Windows 10 has screwed me up good. I have finally got the blinking screen to stop by disabling several things. Now I can't get the windows 10 version of Bitdefender to run because of the error " bdagent.exe application error". I have checked with the bitdefender web site and all they did was send me to a site giving details on how to install bitdefender, which is where I started in the first place. Do any of you know how to fix this crap? I tried to uninstall and reinstall, but now I get an error during the installation. Thanks for any help.

  3. glad to hear you loaded a new load of os that  eliminates all programs that you may have loaded so now it boils down to hardware so at least it narrows it down--- now if it was me like i said before i would take my stuff to a friends or kin folks house and set it up and see if it happens there if it does then that tells you that your place is clean.

next step after that try a new modem either borrowed or a new one just an ideal hope it helps

    p.s

captain nemo your input is always welcome as is anyone's like my granddad always said: there is no such thing as a stupid question but there sure are alot of stupid answers

I will give that try and let you know how it works out. Thanks again

  4. Ok, loaded a clean windows 7 with no other programs. It is the only pc on and prints with no problem. The only new thing is the new moden/router from AT&T. The printers drop off line with the PC either on or off. I also have wifi on two ipads with no problems. The old modem/router would drop everything not just the printers, but it was getting old. So far neither of the pc's have dropped. I think I will go back to the old modem/router and see if I still have the problem. If that will fix the problem I will buy a new modem/router and dump this piece of crap. The mf4880 just dropped, so I guess the clean load didn't help. Thanks to all for the help.

  6. You couldn't find a direct number for Obama?  I think I will call a few of these and see what happens. Turning the printer on and off is just a big pain in the ass, but it looks like that is the best I can do unless I go out and buy my own moden/router.  The reason I haven't done that is that who know if that will fix the problem.  Thanks for the reply.

  7. I found my old restore disk and restored everything back to start.  Works good now no errors.  I don't know why I could never get the drivers installed without doing a complete restore.  Thanks to all for the help.

  8. Thanks for the reply.  It has to be the new router, because it had no problems until the new router.  They did replace the router a second time to make sure it wasn't a bad router.  I have found that what I have to do is when I need to print, I have to turn the printer off and back on again.  It will reconnect when I do that.  I think the old router that just dropped off a couple of times a day was the better deal.  I think I will call them and see what I would need to swap back to the old hardware.  I can't belive I'm the only one with this problem.  I know other people must have this same netgear router.  I think I will call netgear support and see if they will talk to me about what the problem might be.  If anyone finds a fix please let me know.

  9. My old motorola started dropping 2 or 3 times a day so I called AT&T and they said I just needed a new router.  They sent me a new netgear modem/router.  I hooked it up and everything looked good, but then it went bad.  I have a couple of wireless printers and they will print a couple of times then won't print again until I either reset the router or turn the printer on and back on.  I called AT&T and they worked for at least 3 hours using remote access.  No fix.  They sent a tech out and he worked from 6 to 11 at night.  No fix.  They finally said it was a printer problem and they don't support printers.  I called Canon and they said it was in the router and not their problem.  AT&T then sent me over to the pay for help group.  They wanted 175.00 to help me with a problem that was their fault.  I told them to stick it.  I guess I have this rant just to ask if anyone has any idea what the problem is and how to fix it?  I have run out of ideas and sure could use some help.  Thanks

  10. I have a Toshiba Satellite A665 laptop, and I though I would get smart and upgrade to an SSD drive (maybe not so smart).  Everything seems to go ok, but when I boot up now I get an error ( Boot Failed: P4-HL-DT-STDVDRAM GT30F).  My dvd drive seems to work ok, but getting an error on bootup.  I have uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled with no help.  I now put the old drive back in and it also get the same error.  Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem?  Thanks for any help.

  11. It seems I'm here every other day asking for help, but here I am again.  I was getting an error that I had a fake serial ( which was true) so I was going to uninstall IDM and try again.  Here is where the problems started.  It seems that no matter what I do I can't fully delete IDM from my system.  My OS is win 7 by the way.  I used Your uninstaller software first, but did not get it all, which it does a great job most of the time.  I used regedit to delete it, but still did not get it.  When I reboot my machine there it is again with it's error messages.  Does anyone know how to completely delete this thing, and can I reinstall it again?  Thanks for any help
