Depends on how the subtitles are coded. If hard coded into the video you can do it by cutting the lower portion of the screen or going to each frame and removing the words. For that you will need software and "Subtitle Edit" I found along with "VirtualDub MSU Subtitle Remover " with a quick google search. Both are free but appear to work in different ways. If not hard coded just remove the srt file. How are you playing the video? If you are playing with VLC just turn them off. There is an option to not play subtitles

If you can upload a pvr file then we can use it to find something that will convert it to what you want. I found this "tutorial" http://www.slideshare.net/minanitian/pvr-to-avi-converter-convertimport-pvr-files-to-avi-freely that shows how to do it using the software iOrgsoft Video Converter that is supposed to be able to convert pvr to avi.
