If you give me a nudge in 2 weeks I will have a go as my TV is 4K. I know the problems with playing stuff at that level is getting the encryption level right (HDCP 2.2 ). I have my TV linked to one in the kitchen and trying to find a compliant splitter was horrendous and expensive. If you try and play a high level HDCP on only an HD ready TV then it won't and says it is incompatible. You then have to get an encryption stripper to bring the signal low enough. 2 weeks time I'll be back from holiday and free to have a go with playing stuff on my TV.

How to get permission to make post in Movie and tv section

You have to make a certain number of posts elsewhere in the site to be able to create a new topic in those sections. They can be replies to other posts anywhere or you can create new topics in the community sections or apps sections. This has been explained already in a PM to you. -
