How To Rename Multiple Files In XP -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XP lets you rename files in bulk by simply selecting multiple files within Windows Explorer and pressing the F2 key. When you use this feature, the OS applies the name you enter to the first file and applies the same name with a number in parentheses to the other files you selected (the file extensions remain unchanged). For example, if you select the following files, * notes.doc * figures.xls * disney.jpg * holiday.gif and rename the first file (notes.doc) to SoD.doc, XP renames the remaining files as follows: * SoD (1).xls * SoD (2).jpg * SoD(3).gif

It is from my practical experience that no recovery software can backup/restore u a file 100%. it may recover the file but without the content sometime and there is a little chance to get the file intact. Hope system restore may be bless for u :cwrocks:

A while back I noticed that on Windows Vista there was no Telnet, the reason for this is that telnet is not secure and they decided to leave it out because they were trying to update their level of security. In windows 7 it’s the same thing, it has no telnet. I have now found out how to get telnet on windows vista and windows 7. It is really simple and is done like this: 1.Open control panel. 2.Then go into programs. 3.Then in programs and features there should be a part that says ‘turn windows features on or off ‘ . 4.Click ‘turn windows features on or off ‘ then on the list that appears simply check the box beside: Telnet Client. 5.Then click ok.

what type of raid do u want? software or hardware? if h/w then first buy a raid controller. if it is software then follow this 1.first convert the basic disk to dynamic disk. 2.then there r three types raid configuration as daytrader said namely mirroring,stripping and raid 5(which required at least 3 hdd) if u want i could give u a screenshot and guide uonline. :cwrocks:

bro use this tools which will format ur disk surely http://nchc.dl.sourceforge.net/project/gparted/gparted-live-stable/0.12.1-5/gparted-live-0.12.1-5.iso its a livecd iso disk. u can burn it into a cd and boot ur pc by this cd and u will surely get formatted ur disk. if u hav any problem in its functionality , just post here and our helping hands will be toward u or alternatively u may use this method goto start menu-->all programs-->command prompt-->right click and then run as administrator then type "diskpart' without quatation then follows .... 1. type "list disk" it will show u the number of disk u hav in ur pc 2.type "select disk 3" (as this is my removal disk ,u can select ur disk by seeing the disk size) 3. type "list volume" it will show u ur volume listed 4. type "select volume *" (replace the * with the number listed from the showing volumes) 5.type "format fs=ntfs" (if u want to format ur disk as ntfs then follow it otherwise replace the ntfs with fs for fat32 ) 6 .now u hav done if u still dont follow the instruction dont worry .......... just follow the onscreen instruction
