  4. This is one of the most awesome things in Cyberphoenix, I'm really starting to like the errors that the board sw give back to me. The last awesome one? "This reply has not been added as it has been posted too quickly" ...my keyboard was red hot... I know, this is against spam bots, but anyway it's still funny!

First off, I wish again to give my compliments to Darko for his balanced, informative and beautifully expressed reply. Chapeau! Second, I remember, in my old days, that forums and the whole WWW was based on a spirit of collaboration, sharing, teaching, helping... in a word: giving. I don't think that those times are obsoletes as we still come here with the hope to find something 'free', offered with generosity. Generosity that will fuel our own generosity, pushing us to give in exchange. And the uploaders are not the only one that are giving. In fact, my compliments to Darko are exactly for this very reason: I have found the same ol' generous spirit in his reply, with respect and compassion (that is not a bad word) added as a good measure. I understand that there is a need for money that become more and more pressing, but I also understand that there are platforms created for this. I mean personal blog or the like, where peoples may offer software in exchange of premium accounts. But not in a forum like this one, where there is a philosophy based on friendship and collaboration that is really evident. Take a look at the Shoutbox and you will find many incipt that may push you to simply find a friend. And I mean someone that is able to 'give you' something for free, just for the pleasure that 'giving' gives back. So, even if I agree with voxx1, and the necessity to search for 'good' free servers, I think that we may do something more. I've already proposed the creation of some kind of Usenet tutorial, I may also suggest a simple .torrent search for the title that may be so interesting in that moment, or the simple Google with a search made with the post titles. This is what I do when i find 'impossible' situations like the ones that voxx1 prospected. I think that Cyberphoenix has all the possibility to become a very famous place, and I also think that the only way to achieve this is to start to give, then give, and finally give again. In this way, we may really stand up as 'different' from everyone else on the net.

    Scientists create glow-in-the-dark rabbits

The practice to push 'doubtful' business practices basing them in less 'attentive' countries, which have bigger financial concerns, was introduced by the East India Company and seems to flourish brightly nowadays. Nothing new under the sun, alas... Even if I hope that the synthetic meat produce, with all its lateral implications concerning the possibility of direct genetic experimentation on stems and cells, may overcome the direct use of living beings in those kind of affairs... But then, someone may came up saying that even a cell has a soul. and my judgement may change....
  19. At least they become 'honest' admitting it publicly. And there is no NSA, or gov based agencies concern in here. The real problem is that Google may trace a precedent that may cause the real privacy death in all private communications for commercial exploitation purposes... A real mess! I fear something like "Minority Report" scenario, where with a retina scan 'they' are able to push 'personal' advertising to everyone. That was a real nightmare to me
  20. Thanks to the one that have quoted the word 'modern' to define Windows 8 user interface. Is just plain funny to follow from afar (happily mac based, but still running Windoze on VMWare and Parallels) MS 'evolution'
  21. This will become a Kennedy case for UK, I fear... thanks for the heads up, as always is very entertaining and interesting to read your posts, cheers
