C63_XeroCore 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2012 This is a tricky one. I have a Broadband Connection. Whenever my Internet loses connection maybe due to human error or power failures and i didnt had the opportunity to manually Disconnect it, The Remote Acces Dialer tries to reestablish the connection. This results in System hang. Becames unbearably slow, Tried to end Process RASAUTOU.EXE (which i beleive is the culprit) or explorer.exe (which usually works) but i still cant Reconnect to internet now as the option of "Connect" only will be unlocked after Restart. (assuming that i managed to end process - which most of the time becomes Impossible.) Dont know if i can post other links in here for your and mine help. Its a similiar question asked on Microsoft Answers, maybe it will help you come to a solution. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-networking/system-hangs-remote-access-dialer-rasautouexe/d0b2e41b-df99-4a0f-a170-797eac9447f9?msgId=2951561d-7864-4563-86a7-38f9f333bc5e
Vignesh Nallamad 209 Report post Posted July 12, 2012 this is caused due to a malware attack... even the solution is a tricky one u have to play with your registries and replace a file called sfcdetails.txt with a .txt file that was previously used safely instead i suggest u to do a recovery or reinstall os... or else refer this page and try fixing it manually... http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx
C63_XeroCore 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2012 A malware..hmm !! ok now recovery is the second last option and formatting being last i guess i will try to fix it first. That Autorun software gave me the scare first but i still tried to find my way around it. So how do you guys suppose i fix it ? I cant locate the rasautou.exe anywhere, it would trigger when redialing happens i think. And how can i know what was the previous .txt file was there ?? , if i dont know how can i even try to replace it?
