Furthermore, it also runs the newly announced Android 4.3, the tablet marks Google's 2013 refresh of it's nexus program, delivering stock Android to enthusiast techies and fans with promised updates from Google. Android 4.3 builds on features previously revealed in 4.2, adding restricted profiles to its multi-user system, which lets parents restrict the level of access their kids can have for individual apps; it also adds Bluetooth low energy support to increase compatibility with fitness devices.

Google also revealed at it's event today that one in two tablets sold world wide is an Android tablet. With the multitude of manufacturers creating Android tablets, the Nexus 7 impressively accounts for more than 10 percent of total sales.
