Saran999 288 Report post Posted September 24, 2013 To me English is a second, or third language, and sometimes I met with strange and funny terms that I strive to learn better. In my opinion, learning the slang and the jargon it's the right way to enrich my culture and my knowledge, getting to know better the peoples that speak a specific language. Today, I've met with the word: "peeps" that means 'peoples', but also marshmallow candies, sold in the United States and Canada and shaped into chicks, bunnies, and other animals. There are also different shapes used for various holidays. Peeps are used primarily to fill Easter baskets, though recent advertising campaigns market the candy as "Peeps - Always in Season", as Peeps has since expanded to include Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's Day. They are made from sugar, corn syrup, gelatin, and various food dyes. Thanks God, today I've learned a new thing!
