  1. Hey cyber.....yea kinda threw me for a loop that YOU are asking for help.

Sounds like you have covered quite a bit but I will add a few suggestions if you haven't already done so.

    1) check all connections.

    2) possible power supply issue

    3) if stays on long enough try running software that will give temps (possible over heating?)

    4) run good av program

    5) does pc do this in safe mode?

    6) if removing the cpu, r u also replacing the thermal paste?

    7) I have to ask this, r u placing the ram in correct slot(s) see pic below.

Also, is this a new build? does your ram match in the bios? are you overclocking?

  2. orbstah,

There does seem to be an issue with buying a premium with mojofile. I would suggest that you contact them about the issue. I tried to see if I could buy a premium and got the same thing. It looks like you can download from there for free but of course it will be at a much slower download speed.

  3. In addition to what techmod.pngvigneshnallamad stated, if you wish to recover anything, then it must be done almost instantly at the time of the loss for those files are being overwritten right away. As far as better recovery software out there, I am sure there is, but would be very expensive. Check back to this tread for a few days and maybe someone can recommend a better software for you. I hope anyway.

Good luck my CW friend. I wish I could have been more help.

  4. many have voted for rapidshare but for some reason it never really took off. Too many people that upload are too interested in getting paid which rapidshare does not do. Rapidshare is great but not much we can really do about it.

  5. If RAM is fine then I suggest to do a system restore. You really don't have anything to lose by doing this. Once you do the system restore, then see if it now boots, if so then restart and go back to safe mode with networking and run your av program. Make sure your av program is up to date. Once this is done then run windows update again.

If by chance you have made changes to the BIOS and then started getting the BSOD then you need to set BIOS back to default settings.

If restore does not work then try what techmod.pngvigneshnallamad said and update your drivers. This will be somewhat tricky as you only get about 10 min in safe mode before the BSOD.

  6. F3AR,

when it comes to antivirus programs, it usually is not a good idea to have 2 on same computer. It will cause havoc on your system. Out of the 2 that you have, one is just as good as the other. both are great free av programs.

I would suggest to also get malwarebytes as it is free also and compliments all av programs.

I don't remember if AVG has a firewall built in but if not then I would also suggest getting zonealarm firewall. It is free also.

  7. oneoone,

The BSOD code you are getting is a memory issue.

when you said checked the RAM, did you run a RAM check and /or re-seat the RAM?

Is the BSOD happening during game play or exiting a game by any chance?

When did this start? You may be able to do a system restore just before this started happening?

  8. The only silly question(s) are the ones that are not asked. ;) Sometimes the patch has to be in the installed program folder for it to work. Did you download it through a link here at CW and if so can you provide us with that link? I may have to download it myself to see exactly what is going on. At the same time, you may want to contact the uploader and ask them exactly how to do it.
