Hello I am having problem loading this mentioned program after completed the installation. An error message saying it could not start with a long error of strings mentioned, even the portable version also having the same problem. My OS. Windows 7 professional SP1. I am not sure what is missing not it could not load. I am having a problem with the windows 7 ultimate 'shutting down'. After all the windows process completed the 'shutting down' screen do not close down. Also I notice CCleaner icon after the cleanup does not close. I left it overnight to see the 'shutting down' whether it close by itself, but it did not close and I have to close it from the power panel. I hope someone can solve my problem. Thanks.

Thanks Rædwulf for the prompt reply. I am thinking of installing windows ultimate SP1, as I am used to it. I have seen in this forum there is windows 7 integrated with latest updates. Do it help to speed up the installation.

Thanks Rædwulf for reply. The last resort I also think about the installing the OS. I know the problem of getting all software and windows updates and the problem of the windows updates will caused. If you can give me a guide on how to minimizes the problem will cause and the steps to be taken. On the other hand I will wait to see any post which I could try. Hello again I run chkdsk c: /r in safe mode and finally it work and after the 5 stages came out ' the volume is clean ' although the shutting down problem did not solve yet. I try sfc /scannow but it say ' Windows resource protection could not start the repair service'. Any further help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

The latest test I have done run Norton Bootable Recovery Tool ( it took me almost half a day I let it do the fix as stated in the list) and chkdsk gives a clean result although chkdsk c: \r state could not repair it give some error of something input not correct, I run chkdsk but having problem shutting down and have to use the power button to restart. So what other step to take. I am surprise CCleaner could do the cleaning in safe mode but not in normal mode.

Thanks Rædwulf the answer is no except the one you mentioned. I t seem I may revert back to the ols versioned as it slow down almost every thing.

Thanks again for the reply. As for Rædwulf I did a scan from sfc /scannow but it gives 'C: Windows\system32>sfc /scannow Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service.' And NeophobiA I will try it later can you suggest a rootkits application. I wish to bring to the attention of Rædwulf why the malwarebytes could not updates it lists always updates not current.

Thanks Tech 425 and Emderbel71 for your reply. I will try it out later. As for Rædwulf suggested using Malwarebytes do it revert back to free version after sometimes, I am running the older version and it did not detect any new treat.

Thanks for the prompt reply. My C drive now is almost 300GB. of data and if I dump it I may lost some files or programs if as you said 'full install of Win 7'. Can you recommend a good bootable scanner.

Thanks Rædwulf I have seen in the system restore and there are many dates available. As mentioned by you to try system restore do you mean to try every dates in the list until it help with the problem is resolve.

Thanks to Emderbel71 and Rædwulf for your reply. I still need win 7 as I am use to it and not familiar with the OS as mention by you. As Raedwulf suggested ' try disabling windows update in services..' I tried as you said it did not help, I try CCleaner to do a cleaning job it seem it hang or rather to say it stuck at 2% at internet explorer cleaning some .dat files and stay there forever. I hope you all can help to solve it.

When I open the task scheduler a popup show 'the selected task.. no longer exits. to see the current tasks, click refresh'. I have to click OK to close the numerous error popup. In 'services' the task scheduler properties all tabs is gray out automatic is grey out, but it showed automatic and running. Is there anyway to solve these problem. My OS. Windows 7 ultimate SP1.
