  1. I have a similar problem. Can't start a new post almost anywhere. I'd really like to send in a contribution but PayPal has a problem. All I get is this message:

We cannot process this transaction because there is a problem with the PayPal email address supplied by the seller. Please contact the seller to resolve the problem. If this payment is for an eBay listing, you can contact the seller via the "Ask Seller a Question" link on the listing page. When you have the correct email address, payment can be made at www.paypal.com.

I don't know how to let the Admin know but I think they would like to get this fixed ASAP.

You Can pm Admin or Vinceserious about the donation and they will steer you in the right direction.

As for your posting you have a post count of 39 posts so what is the problem with posting?

Are you posting more than 5 posts in 2 hours?

Did you read the explanation given in the link I posted above?

  3. I had a bad external drive once took it out of the equation and everything was fine. Running too many external periphials including drives can give you headaches too printe now networked through router externals plugged in when needed ...........I agree with parker216 ........most likely a HDD

  4. Install and run Malwarebytes antimalware. Remove all malware found.

Install spybot and run as administrator remove everything found.

Remove cmos battery and replace with new one

    check ram reseat if necessary

check all cables and plugs renew if needed.

Only use ccleaner dont use registry cleaners too much the remove too much

If you reformat dont install programs until you're sure the os is stable

Don't forget windows updates but only ones that are necessary.

Only one question is your os legit...........why you ask because its likely to be more stable.

Look at where your box is located etc .

    install a cpu monitoring app.

Can you see heavy usage in task manager.

do all of the things mentioned in posts above.

finally is it time for new pc or upgrades.

    Update all drivers needed.

You could update bios too if there is a later version make sure you get the right version for your board though

  5. Folks that upload here use a variety of hosts...........I use Rapidshare & MediaFire ....both have been good to me although MediaFire is starting to muck me and other users around now with some of their funny ways like blocking access to files after a certain amount of D/loads, Region blocking etc

So I'm looking for another host.

Generally we need to supply at least 1 free user host. premium hosts are ok as long as you have free access as well.

The world of warez is evolving again m8

  6. For years I have had premium Rapidshare, megaupload , mediafire, and on occassion other filehosts too. If I want something bad enough I'll pay a month's premium on a file host to get it. Other members do the same ...my friends over the years certainly did. My decision to go with the filehost I can upload to came from long years of experience and was not as you put it a 2 second decision. Well done ol' son you managed to get every uploader onside with your words of wisdom.

Now as an uploader & probationary moderator I understand that folks just don't want to spend hard earned cash especially on file hosts. CW forums understands this too and as such we are working with members found guilty of just posting premium access material. I have soft deleted countless premium access only threads and have sent pm messages to those who I have discovered.

Given the way the whole situation is.......... which has not settled by a long shot we should be grateful for the work that uploaders & official uploaders alike do here. They are the risk takers they are the ones that could be explaining their actions to their ISP or worse still the media moguls.......

Yes there are some good & bad filehosts too choose from however it is the uploader's right of choice to upload to. I chose rapidshare as it survived the so called holocaust Now those who don't like rapidshare can ask me to upload to another filehost & if I'm able to then I will. Forums with too many restrictions on file hosts don't last I know I was on many Katz forums.........

If you find you can't download a file from a filehost as a free user because it's too big you can always pm the uploader and ask him/her to split the file into smaller parts.

By the way the 2 members you mentioned are not official uploaders in CW and their work is appreciated even though they are not bound by the conditions official uploaders are. Not that that matters. I suspect that your comments made about sokolovski and bookuploader will go unoticed by many here including them.

I'm an old hand, been doing what I do for a long time and have realised that some folks want everything their way....... could it be the case here?

The senior staff along with admin make the decisions here and I can assure you from my experience on many forums they are good at what they do. If they decide to cut back on filehosts so be it. So sit back relax and enjoy the forums. Try a search or two and find another fliehost you can download from.

    without prejudice

  7. If threads containing old versions of a program still has active links then they can always be archived as long as the links are active. A simple search should reveal their existance in the archives.

If the upload links are dead then there are three options open once the post has been reported.

    1. Mods can pm thread poster asking for new links.

    2. Delete the thread.

    3. Place thread in a forum designed for rejuvination and allow staff and or members to upload new links and archive.

All threads in CW uploads should be kept active by whatever means necessary with the first option given to the uploader to reupload and posrt new links.
