  2. hi, i am currenly using windows xp 32 bit. and i want to upgrade to windows 7. i have just burned the iso image of the windows 7, and am trying to install it. however, i got this message "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now." i do not have the drivers for my motherboard, since i got this only as second hand. here are the details of my setup.

  4. im trying to do a clean install. i have tried installing the cd/dvd driver when the message popped up. but i havent tried updating the cd/dvd driver before installing. i am also booting from the disc that i burned. i am trying to install 64 bit
  5. thanks for the replies guys. i have tried downloading the appropriate drivers already for my motherboard. however, the message still appears because while the install wizard is asking for me to insert the installation disk or usb drive, it can not read the drivers. this happens after booting to cd. i just got to the first part where it is only beginning to prepare the intallation. some said that i might have downloaded a corrupt os? would that be true also?
