Rip/Convert Blu-ray movies for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 delivers a mostly pure Ice Cream Sandwich experience for only $250. The tablet also trumps the Kindle Fire in extras by including dual cameras, expandable memory, and TV remote-control functionality. With great viewing angels and a pretty bright screen, the Galaxy Tab 2 really rocks for watching movies on the go. However, just its previous, the slate doesn't support Blu-ray playback. Despite lack of offical support, we can download and copy Blu-ray movies onto Galaxy Tab 2 for enjoying. The process is very easy, here I figured I would throw this quick tutorial up to help those who wanna watch Blu-ray movies on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.

First, in order to transfer Blu-ray movies to Galaxy Tab 2, we need to use a 3rd party tool to rip and convert Blu-ray to Galaxy Tab 2 compatible video formats(e.g. H.264 MP4). If you're looking for ease of use, and don't mind spending $40 (they currently have a sale), I've had success using Pavtube's Blu-ray Ripper to convert Blu-Ray discs to a format playable by Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. I've found the quality to be excellent.

To be honest, the Blu-ray Converter for Galaxy Tab 2 can help you rip and convert all the Blu-ray/DVD Discs even DVD iso/ifo image files. The audio/video synchronization is very good, the size of the subtitles too. The time it takes to convert in this software is almost half that in other. Below is a brief guide for you.

Rip Blu-ray to Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 highly compatible video formats with full-screen playback effect

1. Run the top Blu-ray Ripper for Galaxy Tab 2, add your BD files to the program.

2. Choose output profile for the Samsung Galaxy Tablet. Here I recommend you "Samsung >> Samsung Galaxy Tab H.264(*.mp4)". This profile works for Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.

Below is the best format settings per my experience: (Click "Settings" button to set the video/audio parameters for the best Galaxy Tab 2 movie format)

Video

Codec- H.264

Resolution- 1024×600 (Full-screen)

Bitrate- 1000/1500kbps

Framerate- 30fps

Audio

Codec- AAC

Sampling rate- 44.1khz

Bitrate- 160kbps

Channel- stereo

For watching videos on the Android-based Tablet, 1000~1500kbps is just all right. I find that bitrate higher results in big file size, and lower visible quality loss.

Tips:

If you want to play Blu-ray movies on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 with prferred subtitles, you can select the subtitle language you like from "Subtitles" options. Meanwhile, you are able to choose your master language of audio track from "Audio" option.

3. After the above steps, just click "Convert" to start conversion from Blu-ray to MP4 for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.

Once the conversion complets, transfer the converted BD movies to Galaxy Tab 2. So there you have it. Now you can start watching Blu-ray movies on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 in full screen with HD video quality.
