Half Monk 697 Report post Posted June 7, 2013 In January, as part of its CES 2013 announcement, Lenovo revealed plans to release the Erazer X700, a gaming-themed desktop PC with a tower case that looked much like the one that Alienware used for its now discontinued Area 51 PC. At the time of its announcement, Lenovo said the desktop would have what it called OneKey technology. This would allow its owners to overclock the Intel Core i7 Extreme processor inside with one button, rather than entering the BIOS to do the same thing. It could support either two NVIDIA GeForce or two AMD Radeon graphics cards, up to 32 GB of RAM and up to four TB in hard drive storage. At the time, Lenovo announced that the Erazer X700 would launch sometime in June for the starting price of $1,499. Now that June has arrived, we decided to see if the PC was available for order. To our surprise, the official page for the Erazer X700 has been removed from Lenovo's website. We though this might mean the product had been cancelled but thankfully, a quick email to Lenovo's PR reps confirmed that the Erazer X700 is still planned for launch sometime before the end of the month. Apparently, the Lenovo website team made some updates to their official site and the listing for the Erazer X700 was temporarily removed. We can certainly appreciate having to make some changes to the site, and we will keep you up to date on exactly when the Lenovo Erazer X700 goes on sale.
