Half Monk 697 Report post Posted August 1, 2013 Xbox 360 owners with paid Xbox Live Gold subscriptions have until the end of the day today to download their free copy of "Assassin's Creed 2." However, the free game program begins again on Thursday with Crackdown and continues on Aug. 16 with "Dead Rising 2." The Xbox Wire website states "Crackdown" will be free to download from Thursday to Aug. 15. Normally, it's price for download on Games on Demand would be $14.99. Released in 2007, this open world action game, developed by the now defunct Realtime Worlds, allows the player to control a genetically enhanced Agent that goes after crime in a fictional city. The game was critically acclaimed when it was released thanks to its impressive graphics and well structured gameplay. From Aug. 16 to 31, Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download "Dead Rising 2," the open-world zombie action game from Capcom, for free. In fact, they will also be able to download its smaller stand alone expansion "Dead Rising 2: Case Zero," for free as well. Both games normally cost a total of $35. Capcom will release "Dead Rising 3" as an exclusive launch title for Microsoft's Xbox One later this fall. In related news, Xbox Live Gold members can download "Grand Theft Auto IV" for just $9.99 for a limited time and the game's two expansion packs have price cuts as well.
