  1. The woman & the frog A Woman was out golfing one day when she hit the ball into the woods. She went into the woods to look for it and found a frog in a trap. The frog said to her, “If you release me from this trap, I will grant you three wishes.” The woman freed the frog, and the frog said, “Thank you, but I failed to mention that there was a condition to your wishes. Whatever you wish for, your husband will get times ten!” The woman said, “That’s okay.” For her first wish, she wanted to be the most beautiful woman in the world. The frog warned her, “You do realise that this wish will also make your husband the most handsome man in the world.” The woman replied, “That’s okay, because I will be the most beautiful woman and he will have eyes only for me.” So, KAZAN-she’s the most beautiful woman in the world! For her second wish, she wanted to be the richest woman in the world. The frog said, “That will make your husband the richest man in the world. And he will be ten times richer than you.” The woman said, “That’s okay, because what’s mine is his and what’s his is mine.” So, KAZAM-she’s the richest woman in the world! The frog then inquired about her third wish, and she answered “I’d like a mild heart attack.”
  2. Two Factory Workers Two factory workers are talking. The woman says, “I can make the boss give me the day off.” The man replies, “And how would you do that?” The woman says, “Just wait and see.” She then hangs upside-down from the ceiling. The boss comes in and says, “What are you doing?” The woman replies, “I’m a light bulb.” The boss then says, “You’ve been working so much that you’ve gone crazy. I think you need to take the day off.” The man starts to follow her and the boss says, “Where are you going?” The man says, “I’m going home, too. I can’t work in the dark.”
  3. Why Cats Are Better Than Men...Are A cat always hits the litter-box. You have a better chance of training a cat. You never have to spend time with your cat's mother. If you ask enough times, a cat may actually LISTEN to you. You can de-claw a cat... try to get a guy to clip his toenails. It's okay if a cat rubs up against your best friend. A cat knows you're the key to his happiness... a man thinks He is. A cat matures as it grows older. Back hair on cats is cute. It is legal in all states to neuter a cat. Cats comfort you when you are sick. When a cat sleeps all day, it's natural, not annoying. Unlike a man, a cat can fend for itself. A cat is loyal. Cats actually think with their heads. "Meow" is never a lie. They will both stand outside your door and whine, but the cat will stop when it gets in. It's more amusing to watch a cat try and deal with a piece of tape stuck on its paw than to watch a man do anything. To buy a fancy dinner for a cat only costs few cents. A cat's friend is less likely to be annoying. Cats can't show love without meaning it. Cats are always cute. The only thing a cat expects you to "put out" is food, water, and a clean litter box.
  4. Which Switch Puzzle You have just purchased a giant mansion with a wine cellar in the basement. On the main floor, next to the staircase, are 3 light switches that control light bulbs in different parts of the house. You would like to know which one turns on the light in the wine cellar. How can you determine which light switch is wired to the wine cellar by making a SINGLE trip to the basement and nowhere else? You can do whatever you like with the switches, but once you go down into the wine cellar you need to know for sure which switch is for the wine cellar. Note that this is not a trick question. You are alone in the house, the wiring is hidden behind the wall, and the rooms controlled by the three switches are not visible from where you are standing. The solution is strictly in the manipulation of the light switches. Hint Answer Did you solve the puzzle? Was it easy? Tell us in the section below!

    Bye Bye

Bye Bye One evening father passed his daughter’s bedroom and heard her saying her prayers. Smiling to himself, he stopped to listen and heard her say. “God bless mummy, God bless daddy, God bless Grandpa, bye bye Grandma.” How odd, thought father, but he didn’t want his daughter to know he’d been listening so he didn’t say anything to her. But tragically, next day Grandma collapsed and died. A few months went by and one evening father heard his daughter praying again. “God bless mummy, God bless daddy, bye bye Grandpa.“ No, it couldn’t mean anything thought father apprehensively. But next morning they received a telegram to say that Grandpa had passed away in his sleep! The household got back to normal and almost a year passed before father heard his daughter again. “God bless mummy, bye bye daddy.” Absolutely panic-stricken, father stayed up all night, too frightened to sleep in case he didn’t wake up. The next morning he walked to work instead of taking the car, in case there was an accident, and spent the day at his desk doing very little but worrying. When he got home that evening he collapsed into a chair, his nerves in pieces, and told his wife all about the nightmare day that he’d had. She replied, You’re not the only one to have had a bad day. This morning when I opened the front door I found the gasman, dead on our front doorstep.
  6. Stars turn out for Stephen Hawking memorial Tributes have been paid to renowned physicist Prof Stephen Hawking in a Westminster Abbey memorial service. One thousand members of the public, from more than 100 countries, were offered the opportunity to attend the service, after a ballot attracted 25,000 applications for tickets. British actor Benedict Cumberbatch, who played Hawking in a BBC drama, and astronaut Tim Peake were among those giving readings at the ceremony. Prof Hawking died in March, aged 76, after a long battle with motor neurone disease. His ashes are being buried alongside other great scientists like Charles Darwin and Isaac Newton. English Astronomer Royal, Lord Martin Rees, and Prof Hawking's collaborator and Nobel prize winner, Kip Thorne, also gave tributes during the service. TV personalities David Walliams and Piers Morgan, musician Nile Rodgers and Prof Brian Cox were among those who joined members of the public to celebrate the life of the scientist. Prof Cox said Hawking was a true inspiration and recalled the effect the Cambridge physicist's book, A Brief History of Time, had on him as a 20 year-old. To mark the occasion, the European Space Agency beamed Prof Hawking's words towards the nearest black hole to Earth. An original score backed the transmission, which was sent from a big radio dish in Spain, from composer Vangelis. In quotes | Stephen Hawking On intelligence: “Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.” On celebrity: “The downside of my celebrity is that I cannot go anywhere in the world without being recognised. It is not enough for me to wear dark sunglasses and a wig. The wheelchair gives me away” On his disability: “It is a waste of time to be angry about my disability. One has to get on with life and I haven’t done badly" On his favourite superhero: “If I had to choose a superhero to be, I would pick Superman. He’s everything that I’m not” On human nature: “We are all different, but we share the same human spirit. Perhaps it’s human nature that we adapt and survive” On staying curious: “I am just a child who has never grown up. I still keep asking these ‘how’ and ‘why’ questions. Occasionally, I find an answer” On death: “I have lived with the prospect of an early death for the last 49 years. I’m not afraid of death, but I’m in no hurry to die. I have so much I want to do first”

    Pregnancy Q&A

Pregnancy Q&A Q: Am I more likely to get pregnant if my husband wears boxers rather than briefs? A: Yes, but you will have an even better chance if he does not wear anything at all. Q: Can a woman get pregnant from a toilet seat? A: Yes, but the baby would be very funny looking. Q: What is the easiest way to figure out exactly when I got pregnant? A: Have sex once a year. Q: Should I have a baby after 35? A: No, 35 children is enough. Q: I’m two months pregnant now. When will my baby move? A: With any luck, right after he finishes college. Q: How will I know if my vomiting is morning sickness or the flu? A: If it’s the flu, you’ll get better. Q: My brother tells me that since my husband has a big nose, and genes for big noses are dominant, my baby will have a big nose as well. Is this true? A: The odds are greater that your brother will have a fat lip. Q: Since I became pregnant, my breasts, rear end, and even my feet have grown. Is there anything that gets smaller during pregnancy? A: Yes, your bladder. Q: Ever since I’ve been pregnant, I can’t go to bed at night without onion rings. Is this a normal craving? A: Depends on what you’re doing with them. Q: What is a chastity belt? A: A labour-saving device. Q: What is the most common pregnancy craving? A: For men to be the ones who get pregnant. Q: What is the most reliable method to determine a baby’s sex? A: Childbirth. Q: My blood type is O-positive and my husband’s is A-negative. What if my baby is born, say, type AB-positive? A: Then the game is up. Q: The more pregnant I get, the more often strangers smile at me. Why? A: Cause you’re fatter than they are. Q: My wife is five months pregnant and so moody that sometimes she’s borderline irrational. A: So what’s your question? Q: Under what circumstances can sex at the end of pregnancy bring on labour? A: When the sex is between your husband and another woman. Q: What’s the difference between a nine-month pregnant woman and a Playboy centerfold? A: Nothing, if the pregnant woman’s husband knows what’s good for him. Q: How long is the average woman in labour? A: Whatever she says divided by two. Q: My childbirth instructor says it’s not pain I’ll feel during labour, but pressure. Is she right? A: Yes, in the same way that a tornado might be called an air current. Q: When is the best time to get an epidural? A: Right after you find out you’re pregnant. Q: Is there any reason I have to be in the delivery room while my wife is in labour? A: Not unless the word "alimony" means anything to you. Q: Is there anything I should avoid while recovering from childbirth? A: Yes, pregnancy. Q: Does labour cause haemorrhoids? A: Labour causes anything you want to blame it for. Q: Under what circumstances should a baby not be circumcised? A: When it’s a girl, for starters. Q: Where is the best place to store breast milk? A: In your breasts. Q: Is there a safe alternative to breast pumps? A: Yes, baby lips. Q: What does it mean when a baby is born with teeth? A: It means that the baby’s mother may want to rethink her plans to nurse. Q: How does one sanitize nipples? A: Bathe daily and wear a clean bra. It beats boiling them in a saucepan. Q: What are the terrible twos? A: Your breasts after baby stops nursing cold turkey. Q: What is the best time to wean the baby from nursing? A: When you see teeth marks. Q: Do I have to have a baby shower? A: Not if you change the baby’s diaper very quickly. Q: Nannies aren’t cheap are they? A: Not usually, but occasionally you’ll find a floozy. Q: Our baby was born last week. When will my wife begin to feel and act normal again? A: When the kids are in college.

  12. Childhood Sweethearts An elderly couple, childhood sweethearts, had married and settled down in the old neighbourhood, and were celebrating their fiftieth anniversary. They walked down the street to their old school. They held hands as they found the old desk where he had carved "I love you Sally." On the way back home, a bag of money fell out of an armoured truck, practically at their feet. She picked it up, but they didn't know what to do with it, so they took it home. When she counted the money, it was fifty thousand dollars. The husband said, "We have to return this to the rightful owners." She said, "no, finders keepers!" and put the money back in the bag, and hid it in the attic. The next day two FBI agents were going door to door in the neighbourhood looking for the lost bag, and showed up in their home. The men asked if either of them found the money that fell out of an armoured car yesterday. She replied, "No." The husband said, "She's lying, it hidden up in the attic." She whispered to them, "Don't believe him, he's getting senile." The agents sat the man down and began to question him. One said, "Tell us the whole story from the beginning." The old man began, "Well, when Sally and I were walking home from school yesterday..." The FBI guy looked at his partner and said, "Let's get out of here."
  13. Who knew Father's Day wasn't always so happy? This Sunday, families across the world will mark the special bond between fathers and their children. For many, this is often done through the giving of gifts and cards. Others prefer to enjoy a meal and quality time. While sometimes criticised as being a commercial event, its roots are more historic than many people think. While your dad probably enjoys being showered with gifts and love on this special day that was not the case with the average dad, back when the day was first created, over 100 years ago. In fact, the history of Father’s Day is quite long and controversial. Mother’s Day actually came first (it was celebrated as far back as the 1860s and declared a national holiday in 1914) and paved the way for Father’s Day. The history of Father’s Day goes back to 1908 when a church in West Virginia held a sermon to honour 362 men who were killed the previous year in a coal-mining explosion. This was the country’s first ever event to strictly honour fathers, but it was just a one-and-done thing. Nothing really came of it. The following year, however, a woman named Sonora Smart Dodd started her quest to establish Father’s Day as a national holiday. Dodd was one of six raised by her single father and thought fathers should be honoured the same way as mothers. After a year of petitioning her local community and government, Dodd’s home state of Washington celebrated its first official Father’s Day on June 19, 1910. Over the years, the celebration of Father’s Day spread from state to state and, after a long fight, it was finally declared a national holiday in 1972 when President Nixon signed it into law. It took more than 60 years from the birth of the idea to Father’s Day actually being recognized as a federal holiday and a lot sure did happen in that time. According to History.com, in the 1920s and 1930s, there was a national movement to get rid of both Mother’s and Father’s Day and replace them with one “Parent’s Day.” Beyond that, some men didn’t even want a Father’s Day to begin with. Some saw it as a “Hallmark” holiday invented for the sole purpose of a commercial gimmick. Others saw it as an attempt by society to squash manliness. Today, Father’s Day is celebrated worldwide on different days. For example, in Europe, the United States, and the majority of other countries, the holiday is celebrated on the third Sunday of June. In South America, March 19 is Father’s Day. In Australia and Fiji, it falls on the first Sunday in September. Father's Day falls on Sunday 17th June 2018 so let us make sure Dad is treated to a unique Father's Day present!
