Tech 425 3,942 Report post Posted April 16, 2014 What OS do you have on this Sony? Also what is your Sony doing that you need to recover? Windows has a backup built in, but you need to run it before a recovery. Here is a set of tools I have used for a very long time. Hiren's Boot CD 15.2 http://www.cyberphoenix.org/forum/topic/206931-cp-upload-hirens-boot-cd-152

Tech 425 3,942 Report post Posted May 18, 2014 I would just forget the Recovery Partition for now and Reinstall Windows here is links for Windows: Windows 7 [Direct Links] If you do this then you won't have any Sony bloatware - I do this to every system I buy. After you get the OS the way you want it and Updated, Then you can do a System Backup Image to DvD so if you ever have to reinstall it will be the way you wanted it. NeophobiA 1,503 Report post Posted May 21, 2014 I don't have a link atm but Windows 7 Ultimate AIO Notebook Edition detects the laptop/notebook it is installing on and comes with all the drivers you need, I have used it on several different laptops but I agree with eatmyshorts, Driver booster is good for checking all your drivers are up to date...
