uk666 5,298 Report post Posted May 24, 2017 Manchester United 'I ❤ MCR': thousands gather at Manchester attack vigil Thousands of people gathered in the centre of Manchester in a show of defiance, declaring they will not be 'beaten' or 'intimidated' in the wake of the terror attack. Crowds spilled from Albert Square on to nearby roads, standing together in an act of solidarity. Albert Square, usually packed by Mancunians celebrating Premier League victories or national holidays, was filled with supporters of the city who came to show their defiance against the terror sown at an Ariana Grande concert less than 24 hours earlier. Many carried flags, posters and placards bearing the message 'I Love Manchester', pledging unity across the city and to show the victims of the arena atrocity that wherever they are from, “they are Manchester too”. Memorials were also held across the country in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow and Belfast as the UK showed solidarity with those in Manchester. They came to prove, as the city’s bishop put it, that “love is always stronger than hate”. Manchester united football club, fans with a banner outside the Friends Arena in Stockholm.
