CyberGod 1,234 Report post Posted June 17, 2012 My Father My father wasn't there to show me anything he never watched me play, he never heard me sing he would send birthday money, it was always late just another thing I remember to this date he would give us Christmas presents someone else bought that just showed me how little of us he thought he never seemed to care one way or the other about me, my sister or my brother at least that is how I felt growing up through the years he didn't care about my hopes, he didn't care about me fears and he wasn't there to wipe away my tears he didn't chase away the bad boys, we never even really talked I wasn't even 3 years old when out of my life he walked when I got older I would visit him now and again we would have casual conversations then when I found out he was dying we had our casual words the way we usually did It was the most I got from him ever since I was a kid the last thing I said was "I love you" and he said the same and with those words I released all the blame I am grateful these were our last words to each other I wouldn't want it any other way that is the one thing I hold above the others and cherish to this day.
