The Last Wicked 251 Report post Posted November 11, 2013 Is it possible for me to get access (from home) to the router I got at my cabin? I got a IP camera at the cabin, and I'm using an account at noip.com to access it. But the router got a dynamic IP, and when power off it changes. And I want to get that new IP without having to go to the cabin... (Noip.com need to get an IP update in order to work)
Tech 425 3,942 Report post Posted November 11, 2013 hmmmmm very good question TLW When I use to do this there was no dynamic IP - I will have do take the brain clamp off and do some digging in this melon
The Last Wicked 251 Report post Posted November 11, 2013 It would be great if this was possible... Maybe there's an option inside that router. The ISP people can access it. They did that once when I had some weird problems...
Tech 425 3,942 Report post Posted November 11, 2013 I'm very sure there is VPN uses a static IP out I think and your cabin is dynamic, So have you tried in the router settings to add remote from the VPNs IP? Maybe

eatmyshorts 201 Report post Posted November 11, 2013 There is an option in most routers to turn off dynamic and just have it as a static IP
