My first computer was Intel it lasted 5 years and I wanted/needed a second computer. The shop I bought the second recommended AMD so I went with it. A few years later I wanted to build my own and went with AMD again and have been with them since. I'll stick to AMD now although I did consider Intel for my build posted here. I decided to go with what I know and stuck with AMD.... I think cost is a factor as I believe Intel can be costly however I'm not 100% sure................

the liquid cooler unit i purchased was very reasonably priced and pretty easy to install.. with like World War Z running at full performance, boarding my gfx out.. it keeps my cpu nice and cool at about 18C or 64F.. i also have 2 - 180mm fans to cool down the rest of the goods.. u might wanna look into getting one to keep that sweet i7 nice and frosty??

Raedwulf: VERY impressive build -- I especially like the colorful keyboard and mouse. And do my eyes deceive me? A new motherboard that ALSO has a PCI slot?? I though all of those died out years ago! I used to use ASUS board myself on all my builds. The last one I used was an A8N32-SLI board which worked great for years and then one day, it just burnt out! I replaced it with a Gigabyte board and have used those, since.

Sorry guys but I don't do anything but laptops or more specifically MacBook Pro. Luckily the charity pays for it so it saves me a fortune.

That's one hell of a computer................ well done. I recently built my current computer saving up for each part purchasing and waiting until I had all the parts need and then built it. I ended up with a faulty power supply which was replaced under warranty but it fried my motherboard so had to replace that too. This time round I picked the components on my own instead of going with a shop recommendation. will list components when I've got a bit of time lol...

A fabulous system Raedwulf. You have an impressive storing space in hard drives and that 500 Gb SSD looks great, presume it's for the OS. You don't mention but I guess you are running Windows 7 X64 SP2. I understand you are a Windows 7 hardcore fan. Now, just my opinion, but SSD runs better and safer under Windoes 10! Your waterproof keyboard is a "must have" ... presume it's also coffee-proof! I know too many computer users who "killed" or "drowned" the keyboard with coffee, beer or whiskey
