What's the Time... Every Monday morning for years, at about 11:30 am, the telephone operator in a small Sierra-Nevada town received a call from a man asking the exact time. One day the operator summed-up the nerve to ask him why the regularity. "I'm foreman of the local sawmill," he explained. "Every day, I have to blow the whistle at noon, so I call you to get the exact time." The operator giggled, "That's really funny," she said. "All this time, we've been setting our clock by your whistle."

Travelling Grandma For two solid hours, the little old lady sitting next to a man on an airplane had told him about her grandchildren. She even produced a plastic-foldout photo album of all nine of her grandchildren. Finally realising that she had dominated the entire conversation, she said to the man next to her: “Oh, I’ve done all the talking, and I’m so sorry. I know you certainly have something to say. Please, tell me......what do you think of my grandchildren?”

Here is a cheaper option. Most people do not need dual cpu's or 64 gigs of ram. It will game and run programs. I use dual cpu's because I have to render video. Check this out. Ok folks soon I will have around $2000 US dollars (I would have more but the trip from Pluto to Earth is costly) So if you had this how would you build your system (Links to the hardware would be nice)

My first computer was Intel it lasted 5 years and I wanted/needed a second computer. The shop I bought the second recommended AMD so I went with it. A few years later I wanted to build my own and went with AMD again and have been with them since. I'll stick to AMD now although I did consider Intel for my build posted here. I decided to go with what I know and stuck with AMD.... I think cost is a factor as I believe Intel can be costly however I'm not 100% sure................

the liquid cooler unit i purchased was very reasonably priced and pretty easy to install.. with like World War Z running at full performance, boarding my gfx out.. it keeps my cpu nice and cool at about 18C or 64F.. i also have 2 - 180mm fans to cool down the rest of the goods.. u might wanna look into getting one to keep that sweet i7 nice and frosty??

Just Fan cooled. I will open it up and blow out my fans. Need to do that every once in a while. See if that cools it down a hair

Raedwulf: VERY impressive build -- I especially like the colorful keyboard and mouse. And do my eyes deceive me? A new motherboard that ALSO has a PCI slot?? I though all of those died out years ago! I used to use ASUS board myself on all my builds. The last one I used was an A8N32-SLI board which worked great for years and then one day, it just burnt out! I replaced it with a Gigabyte board and have used those, since.

Sorry guys but I don't do anything but laptops or more specifically MacBook Pro. Luckily the charity pays for it so it saves me a fortune.

yeah i trust no one better then myself to purchase the correct computer components to build a computer, as it is what i also do for a living.. thank u for the kind compliment, sir.. i look forward to seeing ur computer..

That's one hell of a computer................ well done. I recently built my current computer saving up for each part purchasing and waiting until I had all the parts need and then built it. I ended up with a faulty power supply which was replaced under warranty but it fried my motherboard so had to replace that too. This time round I picked the components on my own instead of going with a shop recommendation. will list components when I've got a bit of time lol...

A fabulous system Raedwulf. You have an impressive storing space in hard drives and that 500 Gb SSD looks great, presume it's for the OS. You don't mention but I guess you are running Windows 7 X64 SP2. I understand you are a Windows 7 hardcore fan. Now, just my opinion, but SSD runs better and safer under Windoes 10! Your waterproof keyboard is a "must have" ... presume it's also coffee-proof! I know too many computer users who "killed" or "drowned" the keyboard with coffee, beer or whiskey
